Preschool and Parents’ Day Out

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Preschool and Parents’ Day Out (PDO) are the perfect programs for parents and children who just want more time to play with other children in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment!

PDO for toddlers and twos focuses primarily on developing a love of learning and exploration, cooperation, empathy, and independence.  A typical PDO day for our youngest students includes play time in the classroom, art projects, snack, circle times with songs and stories and playtime outside on the playground.

In our preschool classes for 3s and 4s, teachers will begin to build your child’s skill set by introducing literacy and math concepts through thematic study activities throughout the school year.  Activities are generally guided by the interest of the students in the class which makes for an exciting school experience for your young learner.  Children in these classes are not required to be potty-trained as we strongly believe each child and family should choose their own timeline and path to bathroom independence!

CWP strongly believes children develop along their own continuum and seeks to provide an environment that is both appropriate and positive for every child.  As such, we ensure throughout the school year that children are placed in a class that not only is age appropriate but one that offers opportunities for growth.  We enjoy being part of each student’s learning journey and cherish the connection and life-long bond we create with their families!

In addition to all our PDO & preschool classroom activities, a host of enrichment activities are also included.  Children 2 and under enjoy monthly music, art and/or movement classes.  Children 3 and over enjoy monthly science, music and/or art classes, and engage in short walking field trips.  CWP also loves hosting special visitors such as the Baltimore Aquarium’s sea animals, public librarians, police and fire department throughout the year.

Extended Care options such as morning care from 8:30 am-9:30 am and after-school care from 12:30 pm-2:00 pm are offered for all students daily.

After school monthly enrichment options for 3s and up include a stay and play month program and special events such as lunch bunch with Santa and yoga.

We are still accepting new students for this school year!
