As a federally recognized 501(c)(3), CWP is overseen by a board of directors whose purpose is to determine the policies of CWP, provide support to the executive director and is responsible for raising funds so as to keep access to the high-quality nature of CWP accessible to families in the community.
Initially established by parents and educators more than 50 years ago to care for and educate young children, CWP continues to be a lauded program in the Northern Virginia area. We offer a supportive and inclusive school community for children and parents alike and the Board welcomes all families to join our school!
Livi is excited to be serving on the CWP Board for her second year. Livi grew up in Western Illinois and received her undergraduate degree from Carthage College in Elementary Education and Music. She received her graduate degree from the University of Virginia with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Livi has 15 years of experience as an elementary and middle school educator. She started her career teaching in Wisconsin and later taught in Northern Virginia. She is currently working towards getting back into the classroom. Livi is the proud mother of two daughters who both attended CWP and had amazing experiences during their time at the school. Livi is looking forward to continuing to be a member of the CWP community.
Born and raised in Orlando, FL, Christina moved to DC in 2010 after spending a year teaching in Spain. She graduated from Tufts University with degrees in Psychology and Spanish. After attending graduate school at Northeastern University, Christina returned to the DC metro area, where she spent nine years working as a school psychologist. She is a stay-at-home mom to a 4-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. Christina found CWP by chance and has loved watching her children thrive there the last two years. She is excited to be returning to the Board for a second year!

Danielle is a military spouse of 18 years and a stay-at-home mom of four children: three sons (ages 13, 10, and 7) and a 3-year-old daughter, Alexandra, who is in the Fireflies and Adventures classes at CWP. Born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Danielle graduated from the University of Georgia in 2007 with degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice. She and her family relocated to Arlington, VA, in 2025, having previously lived in Singapore, Japan, Bahrain, California, and Hawaii. Danielle enjoys traveling, hiking, nature, and photography. This is her first year serving on the board.
Lucia has called La Paz, Chicago, Berlin, Dar es Salaam, and Boston home before landing in the DC area. She studied Statistics and Economics in Chicago and later trained in Illustration and Printmaking in Boston. Today, she works part-time and is also a practicing artist, known for her paper flowers and colored pencil drawings, with work featured in magazines and a published craft book. Lucia is the mom of Matilde, 7, and Julian, 4, who will be joining the Explorers class with Ms. Link and Ms. Mabel this year. Outside the studio, she loves spending time with family, exploring museums, and enjoying a good Bolivian salteña at noon.
