Rooted in a play-based philosophy, CWP focuses on developing a love of learning and exploration, cooperation, empathy, and independence.
Our part-time 5-day 4s preschool program is a preparatory experience for 4-year-olds prior to entering kindergarten. It takes place Monday-Friday from 9:30 am-12:30 pm. Children in this class will be introduced to age-appropriate literacy & math concepts through carefully curated books & games, group & individual play, and teacher-led experiences. They will also have many opportunities to continue to develop important social and emotional skills needed for a successful kindergarten transition.
In addition to all our preschool classroom activities, a host of enrichment activities, including monthly science classes, monthly music/movement classes, special visitors such as the Baltimore Aquarium’s sea animals and walking field trips are scheduled throughout the year. Parent participation is encouraged through conferences for 3s and up, field trips and special projects.
Extended Care options such as morning care from 8:30 am-9:30 am daily for all students, and after-school care Monday-Friday from 12:30 pm-2:10 pm.
