Stephanie Browne

I have been the executive director at CWP since 2019, but previously served as a member of the school board in several different capacities and as a co-oping parent. Prior to arriving in Arlington, our family of five was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for several years. My husband recently retired from the Marine Corps and my youngest is a CWP alum. As a native Texan, I attended the University of Texas and earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology and then went on several years later to complete a Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego. Prior to my role at CWP, I led a development team for Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, served as a community executive for the Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma, and have held leadership roles on numerous nonprofit boards. I am also a professionally trained dance instructor and taught preschool-aged children through advanced level trainees in California and Texas for 15 years. When not at school or at the pool with my competitive swimmers, I am watching/listening/reading about college football (Hook'em!), volunteering for a handful of organizations and driving to a million afterschool activities! I come from a family full of educators and grew up helping with students in my mom’s special education classrooms, so I was thrilled when my life path led me to this wonderful nonprofit school. CWP truly is a NOVA gem, and I am thankful each and every day to be a part the community of families who are the heartbeat of this amazing school!
