Transitional Kindergarten Enrichment

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Transitional Kindergarten (TK) enrichment program curriculum is specifically designed for enrolled families with children in our 5-day Pre-K program who fall into any of the categories listed below:

1. Just miss the school entry cut-off;

2. Have elected for their children to do a 2nd year of Pre-K;

3. Younger 4s enrolled in our 5-day 4s program who are ready AND interested in exploring, more deeply, the math and literacy concepts presented in their core class.

After the completion of their core class and lunch from 12:45-1:10pm (similar to time allotted for a kindergarten lunch), a CWP teacher will work with students in a small group setting for 30-mins to introduce and/0r master age/developmentally appropriate concepts and skills through a curriculum designed to meet the needs of each student enrolled. Students will then receive a 10-minute recess prior to pick-up.

This individualized program is hosted Mondays & Wednesdays from 12:30pm – 2:00 pm.  Enrollment and tuition is based on a 7-week session format offered in the spring months of March and April.  Class size is limited to 6 students and enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis during the session’s open enrollment period. A minimum of 3 students is required for the class to make.

Again, children must be enrolled in 5-day 4s if they wish to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten Enrichment.
